Cyclists of all abilities will love it
As in previous years, the 2024 Tour de Lavender is one that will appeal to any cyclist, regardless of their experience.
The two signature courses remain pretty much the same, with only minor variation:
- The METRIC CENTURY route, 64+ miles that include some challenging hill climbing, is designed to give even expert cyclists a demanding workout—if they want it. With many farms to visit and a mid-way SAG stop to re-energize with snacks and beverages, however, it also affords even hard-core cyclists ample opportunity to “stop and smell the lavender” with a more relaxed pace.
- The FUN RIDE is meant for cyclists interested in a casual, leisurely ride. For the family that rides together, it’s perfect. This route is over generally level terrain, most of it on the Olympic Discovery Trail, a paved, multi-use trail which is the “crown jewel” of the Peninsula’s scenic bikeways. The complete loop is 35 miles, and even beginner cyclists have, in the past, used this to chalk up a personal best or as a stepping stone to more demanding rides. Those opting for this ride have multiple options that enable them to find their “Goldilocks” distance and pace—not too hard, not too easy, not too far, not too short… Just right. This is the ride the kids will love!
It’s more than just a ride–it’s an Experience!
